wedding advise from yours truly

So this weekend Ty and I went to a wedding for our friends Trey and Kelsey {congratulations guys} and so of course I was talking with all the other girls about weddings and planning since, of course as we all know, in Utah it is officially WEDDING SEASON. So I started thinking about advise/things I would have done differently and now I have decided to pass on the wisdom. :) Leave it or take it. I promise I will not be offended!

{one} YOU are the bride. Its okay to act like one and choose what you REALLY want. With the Fiancés okay of course. Everyone will have an opinion but it really is okay to just go with what you like. really. it really is!

{two} Make an itinerary for everyone with what time your family and friends need to be there for pictures, etc. Just give family, bridal party, and close friends the plan for the day complete with times, who needs to be where and when. This way you don't have to say it 1000 times and this way, everyone knows what to expect.

{three} NEVER. I repeat NEVER try on any dress you cannot afford. If you watch Say Yes to the Dress you might already know this rule. But NEVER try on a dress that is out of your budget... not even to try and find a style you like or just for fun. It is inevitable that you will fall in love with a gorgeous dress that is just too much $$$! ....is it obvious that I clearly broke this rule?? :)

{four} Save some serious money by getting your man's ring on..... OVERSTOCK.COM!!! I am not kidding! My sister-in-law told me to do this and it has become my favorite money saving secret. We looked at Tungsten rings that were like 300-400 buckeroos in the store and I ended up finding one on Overstock for SIXTY!!! Yes thats right the EXACT same thing for 60 dollars! Just take a gander.. it never hurts to look. AND to top it all off they have super fast shipping!

{five} Remember that no matter how stressful things get you are get married to your best friend and that at the end of the day your relationship is what matters. Don't let things like budget, flowers, food, dress, venue, cake, colors, bridal party, honeymoon, rings... (and on and on) distract you from the fact that you get to marry your dream guy! :)

P.S. Last advise...have Euphoria make your announcements. I promise you won't be disappointed!!! :)
